Jennifer is helping this visually-impaired man learn to walk with ease on a new prosthetic leg. Click here to watch a video! We are the only practice in the area with the ceiling harness, which allows patients to walk without fear of falling.
Allied Rehab’s Holiday Canned Food Drive is going on now through December! We are collecting non-perishables to deliver to Tri-Area Ministry, a local food pantry right here in Wake Forest. Read about them here. They are in particular need of canned chicken/tuna, jars of peanut butter and jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, cans of ravioli, and cans of soup. We will have a donation box in the lobby and plan to donate before Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Now is a great time to clean out your pantry for a good cause. Happy Holidays!
Click here to find out more information! The article lists typical milestones at different ages, up to 60 months. Very helpful! One tip from the article: “Always refer a child [to speech therapy] who stutters or experiences swallowing difficulty!”.
We have been pretty busy at the office! We’ve had a bake sale, paid to wear jeans on Fridays, and recently participated in the 2015 Triangle Run/Walk for Autism. ALL proceeds from these events were donated to the NC Autism Society, totaling over $700!!! Looking forward to next year’s fundraiser- we may have to set our goal even higher!
It’s time for Wake Forest’s Best of the Best voting. We take pride when our friends tell others we are doing a good job. Providing a review on Facebook, Google or Yelp and placing a vote in this contest is a great way to share your story and help our business. Just click the link below and type Allied Rehab in as your favorite therapy provider (in the Health category)! Thank you in advance for taking the time to vote!!!
Introducing Joan Bourdon, PT
Joan joined our amazing team of therapists in September 2014. She brings a wealth of Pediatric PT and Adult PT experience to our practice.
Joan moved here last year so her husband Greg Bourdon, PA-C could accept a job working in the emergency department at Granville Medical Center, in Oxford NC. We are so excited to have two great clinicians in our community!
